Aviary
and Aquarium
Residents,
family members, and friends enjoy relaxing near the tranquil,
underwater scenes provided by the plant and fish life in our
aquarium. Those who wish for a reprieve from anxiety and stress
as well as those who are seeking social interaction often
relax in our family room while viewing parrot fish and other
aquatic creatures. Those who are more fond of feathered friends
will find our professionally maintained aviary featuring zebra
and society finch, diamond doves, shaft tails, blue cap waxbills,
and male song canaries entertaining and peaceful.
Salon
Services
Many
of our patients/residents look forward to their weekly visits
from volunteer hairstylists and other beauty professionals
from the community who offer complimentary styling, permanents,
and haircuts. These services are available in each patient/resident's
room, or patients/residents are free to visit our in-house
salon, a special area equipped with a chair and dryer reminiscent
of the neighborhood beauty parlor. As part of their full-service
treatment, patients/residents are also invited to enjoy a
weekly session in our whirlpool bath.

We offer so many opportunities for people to deal with the end of life in the best way possible. One resident called her family in, and they all climbed in bed with her, held her and sang to her. Social Activities
All of our patients/residents are given a calendar of special events, and, along with their families and other visitors, are encouraged to attend. In addition to weekly activities, we seek every opportunity to add enjoyment through special programming.

Chapel
Our chapel, or meditation room, is available to patients/residents and their families at any time of private prayer, and small group vigils.
Courtesy
Cart
Patients/Residents
also receive regular visits from our afternoon courtesy
cart. We offer a variety of complimentary books, movies,
snacks, drinks and other amenities from which patients/residents
may choose.
